St Anne and All Saints is a parish within the Church of England (CofE). The CofE plays a critical role within the wider Anglican Communion. There are also ties with various Lutheran Churches in Europe through the Porvoo Communion.
The Children's Society began at St Anne's, and we have been part of the changing landscape of Vauxhall and the surrounding area for over 200 years. We are part of the Diocese of Southwark and active members of South Bank Churches.
At St Anne and All Saints, we have a broadly inclusive and affirming Anglo-Catholic tradition, valuing and including people from various backgrounds and outlooks. Our community life together is rooted in the gentle rhythms of community and loving service.
On Sundays, we try to incorporate the beauty of ritual and liturgy into our gatherings, typically using texts from Common Worship. Nevertheless, we also appreciate the poetic richness of the Book of Common Prayer (BCP 1662).
We try to affirm all who wish to visit, occasionally drop by, participate, or join us.
You are welcome to contact us or to attend our gatherings at the Church on Sunday at 10.30 a.m. on Miles Street. The entrance is at the rear side rear of the building. Services start sharp, so do aim to be seated by 10.20 a.m.
Our gatherings last about an hour, followed by an opportunity to stay for refreshments and biscuits. Many people stay for this, and you would be most welcome. There is no charge, but any donations are welcome.
We also buy Fairtrade, collect for our local food bank, and support projects such as Coat of Hopes and EcoChurch.
